Romantic Cannon Beach Elopement

The gloom of the pacific northwest has me dreaming about this sun-drenched shoot at Cannon Beach from back in November and I believe it’s high time I share about it!

The Details

The theme behind this styled elopement was “Bright and Ethereal Beach Elopement” and every detail was in the vain of light and airy and movement. The variety of textures was also a major detail throughout the shoot that I loved! From the gauzy table runners and ribbons on the bouquets, to the dried florals and palm leaves in the bouquets themselves. And of course there were a TON of unique details and features incorporated as well! Like a greenery fence which acted as the “altar” and the mixed ceramic bud vases that filled the sweetheart table in place of a traditional floral centerpiece. I personally LOVE photographing the details and experimenting with unconventional angles, so these pieces of interest were VERY appreciated.

As far as the day itself, we were really lucky with the weather (hello PNW haha) and had beautiful rays of light to play with in our photos. Plus, we ended the shoot with a GORGEOUS sunset. Photographing down on the sand was probably the best part. From running around in the waves to using driftwood as pedestals for the bride, there was no lack of stunning backdrops. And of course, we had to end the day with a good old fashioned champagne pop!
