Fall wedding at Oaks Pioneer Church

I was so fortunate to be able to capture this sweet and simple fall wedding at Oaks Pioneer Church last year. Read below for more!

It all started on an iris flower farm in Salem, OR.

He worked around the farm while she worked in the office. While at first Isidra seems shy and reserved, she took the first step in asking Jacob out on their first date! Although Jacob did end up being the one to pop the question at the Portland Japanese Garden.

When planning their big day, they knew they needed two things. First, a location that was intimate and special like the bond they share. And second, to be surrounded by their closest family and friends. And so they chose the beautiful and timeless Oaks Pioneer Church in Portland, Oregon. With it’s warm wood paneling and stunning stained glass window, their hearts were set on it from the first moment they saw it! (and so did I!)

ABOUT OAKS PIONEER CHURCH

If you don’t know, Oaks Pioneer is a small little vintage chapel in the southeastern Sellwood neighborhood of Portland. Dating back to the 1850s, the church building itself has undergone plenty of restoration (and location changes!). It is truly loved and well taken care of by the local residents who have constantly donated time and funds to keep this beautiful chapel in working condition.

Because of this love and dedication to the upkeep of the church, it now is an affordable option for weddings and elopements (among other services). Plus, it is such a timeless piece of architecture that you can’t help but find beauty in every detail of it. Aka, the perfect location for gorgeous and timeless wedding photos.
