Getting to capture this sweet Oregon micro wedding photography for the sweetest couple was a dream come true.
As with all weddings these past few months, Yadira and Cruz had to postpone their March wedding that they had been planning for months and opt for a later date in July. Little did they know that they wouldn’t make it all the way to July and instead would opt for an intimate ceremony at a quaint Airbnb on a vineyard in mid June.
The day started with getting ready in the GORGEOUS house. It was so grand and spacious and I kid you not, I got lost finding the correct room a few times. The two then came together for a sweet first touch moment. I HIGHLY recommend a first touch for anyone who just doesn’t want to OR can’t do a first look. You get the same feeling and confidence when coming together with your partner without actually having to see them!
Next was their intimate ceremony, which they also live streamed for family and friends who weren’t able to attend. I especially love how they added a few special elements to their ceremony that spoke to them as a couple- including a knot tying ceremony, family prayer, and short worship service.
Finally after being pronounced husband and wife, we shot some family photos and bridal party photos in and around the house. Thankfully, there was no shortage of beautiful little spots to take them.
Then we brought everyone back together, had a DELICIOUS dinner and followed that up with some first dances. I’m a sucker for those dances and usually always tear up as soon as I hear the songs my client’s choose to dance with their parents to. And when the bride brought out her mom for a special second dance, I nearly lost it.
After a little break, they brought out the cake (SO GOOD), said some speeches, tossed a bouquet and garter, and then the bride and groom and I snuck off for some golden hour portraits. I ALWAYS RECOMMEND DOING A GOLDEN HOUR PORTRAIT SESSION DURING YOUR BIG DAY! Or even the day after! These are such romantic and warm and personal photos and they seriously never disappoint!
Finally they ended the day with some traditional dances with their guests and a sparkler send off!
All in all it was a sweet day for two of the MOST kind, genuine, and compassionate people on the planet and I hope they feel as blessed and loved as they make others feel.
…and check out some of the vendors who made this day possible!
