Hillsboro Tree Farm Wedding

When Corinne first reached out to me about photographing her and Austin’s wedding she described it as a day filled with all of their favorite things. She warned me that it was going to be far from a “traditional wedding” and I told her that I was ALL about that. Your day your way, am I right?! Things that they wanted to include in their wedding day: surrounded by trees (aka the venue was a tree farm in Hillsboro, Oregon that Austin spent many seasons working at before they both met while studying forestry), brunch instead of a traditional dinner because their favorite foods are breakfast foods, and they wanted the day to feel casual and as informal as possible.

C + A Sitting in a Tree, K-I-S-S…not really

As mentioned before, C + A bonded over their love for the trees and so there really was no better location than a local tree farm, Furrow Farm , as the place to start their forever together. The morning of their wedding was a beautiful and sunny June day in the Pacific Northwest and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day for these two. C + A promised forever in front of their closest family and friends (and their pup Luna of course), surrounded by the largest and most fun wedding party I’ve hung out with to date, and in the most beautiful and simple of settings.

Their Intimate Hillsboro Tree Farm Wedding

We started the morning with a super sweet first look and private moment away from the other friends and guests. Then they broke with tradition and walked each other down the aisle. This was a first for me, but so incredibly them and their relationship and I was there for it. They followed up their ceremony (with not a dry eye in sight) with a brunch buffet (of course). The personal and homemade details that were sprinkled throughout their reception were truly something else. From the chocolate covered espresso beans to the homemade weddings cakes (yes, cakes plural!) to the wedding party “decorating” the groom’s truck and my favorite part – the DIY potted plants used as center pieces that guests got to take home afterward! You know I snagged a few for my own home garden.
