Are you one of those couples who just doesn’t see themselves promising forever in a classic setting like a church or traditional wedding venue? Think that your love and personalities would shine somewhere a little more unconventional and unique? Well then I think that this Oaks Amusement Park wedding may be just the inspiration you need.
When Abbey from Abbey Rose Event Planning and Design told me about her concept of a styled elopement based off of a song (Alexa, play “Rollercoaster” by Bleachers) AT a theme park you know that I was ALL IN. And after a few reschedules, plenty of detail planning, and tons of shared pinterest boards and instagram accounts later everything was set to pull off one of my favorite styled shoots of all time. Getting to work with some of my industry best friends and see it all come together more perfectly than ever imagined, honestly reminded me of how insane it is that I get to document literal works of art for my job.
Abbey who was the MASTERMIND behind the whole thing. The concept. The design. Every crafted detail. I am so thankful to know someone so creative that keeps me inspired right along with her. What would I actually do without her.
Katie who is my go to for PNW florals ANY day. She surprised us on the day of the shoot with her idea for floral clutch instead of a traditional bouquet. Live floral clutch?! Are you actually kidding me with that creativity. Also a best babe and true friend of mine.
Getting to meet Lil and Will AKA the duo behind the Bubbles and Treats drink cart was truly a treat. And their business model of a rentable, non-alcoholic drink cart with drinks that are also DELICIOUS. Yes please. I love getting to add them to my industry friends list.
Working with the stunning and super down to earth couple Hillary and Mallory. So grateful to them for being the most chill and easiest models to shoot with. I mean just LOOK at them! So in love and beautiful inside and out. Also, Mallory did the hair styling too- freaking amazing. And that HAIR COLOR.
Always love getting to meet instagram friends in real life and Shantel was just as incredible and kind in person as she is online. Huge kudos to her for slaying the lewks for this day. She’s funny, kind, and so prepared and skilled. Praise hands for her all day.
And check out Bee who brought the glittery heart shaped cake dreams to LIFE. Besides just being an all around amazing human and business owner and friend, she came through and delivered a cake that looked so rad AND tasted like a vanilla bean ice cream cake (without actually being ice cream).
Finally, a huge shout out to Shop Confete for providing the coolest and fluffiest pink gown. It was the perfect fit for running around in a theme park!
